Kathleen Nichol Weber (“Kay” Murray Weber) moved to Toronto at a young age to attend The Ontario College of Art where she began her studies under printmaker Fred Hagan and painter Jock Macdonald. She held major exhibitions in Winnipeg, Montreal, Ottawa, Calgary, Burnaby and Toronto. In 1985, the Miriam Perlman Gallery in Chicago exhibited her work alongside those of other Canadians Anne Meredith Barry and Sandra Alterger. She participated in international shows in England, Yugoslavia, Poland, Austria and the United States. Weber was elected to the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts, Ontario Society of Artists, Canadian Society of Graphic Arts, Canadian Society of Printer-Etchers and Engravers, and the Arts & Letters Club of Toronto. Her work is held at the National Gallery of Canada.
