- Robinson (née Hardy) did not start photographing professionally until the death of her husband in 1961, when she was required to support her family. She started by photographing weddings and other social engagements; later her work expanded to include landscape and architectural photography of her home province. In the 1970s she was asked to create a coffee-table book of photographs of Prince Edward Island, which she later published along with Wayne Barrett. Robinson is a member of the Charlottetown Camera Club and has taught courses in photography at Holland College. Her work has been included in numerous Island exhibits as well as a 1975 National Film Board of Canada exhibit of Canadian women photographers entitled "Photography 75 Photographie."
