- On entering the order of Precieux Sang in Saint Hyacinthe, the artistic talents of Soeur Veronique de la Passion were noted by the Abbe Charles de la Croix. She received instruction from the Mere Fondatrice and was also trained in theory and technique by the artist M. Joseph Thomas Rousseau. Her mural paintings, completed between 1886 and 1906, remain extant in the chapel of the Monastere du Precieux-Sang de Saint-Hyacinthe. In 1888, Soeur Veronique de la Passion was made an assistant to the artist Joseph-Thomas Rousseau who had received the commission; she completed eighteen of the murals in the the chapel of which six were representations of female saints. Her murals were copies of early Renaissance paintings.
