Notice biographique
Blanche Bolduc, sister of Yvonne Bolduc, started painting at the age of 58 in her home town of Baie-Saint-Paul, Quebec. Her subjects and characters were taken from the typical activities of the Baie, such as the townspeople, farmers, soap-makers, fiddlers, the farmer’s market, local houses and weddings. Her colourful style and details in her work became well known. Her work was purchased by Quebec art galleries, doctors, lawyers and tourists in the region.
