- Biography synopsis
- Very little information about Ellen Armstrong survives. After her birth in Northern Ireland in 1879 we know little else until the date of her Canadian immigration in 1903. There was an obituary in the Edmonton Journal of 19 July 1963, which states that Armstrong, while in Canada, was influential in Edmonton art circles. It also states that exhibits of her work took place in Toronto and other art centres across Canada.
