Notice biographique
Known for her studies of flowers, Susan Mary Morse began her education at the Victoria School of Art in Halifax before leaving for New York to enrol at the Art Students' League. Following her American sojourn, she moved to Ottawa, where she continued her training under Franklin Brownell. Throughout her career, she exhibited with several societies, including the Art Associations of both Ottawa and Montreal (the latter in 1915), the Royal Canadian Academy (in 1913 and 1922) and the Ontario Society of Art (in 1928). Her work was also included in the British Empire Exhibition at Wembley in 1924.
