Painter Daisy Baig was recognized for the strong influence she had through her art teaching as discussed by some of her students who have written about the impact she had on their artistic pursuits. She taught at Nova Scotia College of Art in the 1940s as well as the Winnipeg Art Gallery children's classes, and in various areas of Quebec, including Lachine (1958) and St. Lambert. Bailey exhibited at the annual Maritime Art Association exhibitions in the 1930s and 1940, and at the Art Association of Montreal Spring exhibitions between 1940 - 1943.
