- Madeleine Delfosse was the daughter of Canadian painter George Delfosse. She studied art with her father before attending the Ecole des Beaux-Arts (Montreal) where she studied under Joseph St. Charles. Delfosse is known for her landscapes and portraits, which include many Quebecois political dignitaries. She was also commissioned to complete a mural for the St. Pierre Claver Church in Montreal, for which she used the seven vicars of the church as models for the seven apostles.
