- Before immigrating to Canada in 1948 Luba Genush studied at the School of Fine Arts in Kiev as well as the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna from 1943 to 1948. She settled in Montreal where she studied at the Musee des Beaux-Arts and the Ecole du Meuble under J. Cartier in 1956. Genush explored a variety of media including painting, printmaking, ceramics, collage and computer-assisted images. Her later work often combined the hard lines of computer-generated graphics with representations of the human figure pointing to the tie between humanity and technology.
