- Biography synopsis
- Landori studied at an independent art school run by the artist Álmos Jaschik in Budapest before moving to Paris where she attended the Academie de la Grande Chaumiere following World War II. She immigrated to Montreal in 1951, returning to Paris in 1959, 1961, and 1964 to study at the Atelier de Gravure de Friedlander. From 1955to 1961 she was represented by the Agnes Lefort Gallery in Montreal, and throughout the sixties her work was included in numerous international exhibitions. She was an active member of artists associations including the Canadian Society of Painters-Etchers and Gravures (1961-76). In addition to serving as vice-president, she organized numerous annual exhibitions including the Salon internationale du gravure at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts in 1971. She was also a member of the Canadian Society of Graphic Art (1972-1976) and the Print and Drawing Council of Canada (1976). She exhibited at the Montreal Museum of Fine Art Spring shows, and her work was included in a show with the well-known artist Betty Goodwin in 1965. Landori's work is held in many public collections, including the Montréal Museum of Fine Art, Musée nationale du Québec, Bibliothèque et archive nationale du Quebec, Bibliotheque nationale du Paris, Library of Congress, Washington, and the Museum of Fine Arts, Budapest.
