Biography synopsis
Anne Kew studied photography in New York while teaching darkroom techniques to pay her fees. Upon returning to Canada, she opened a studio in downtown Montreal. Her photographs document various regions of Quebec during the 1950s; a collection of her work can be found at the McCord Museum. In 2004 she was included in an exhibit of Quebec artists entitled "In the Eye of Women Photographers: Portraits of Women 1898-2003" organized by the Centre d'exposition de Val d'Or.
